From run templates to a published week
Define your runs once, publish the week, and let drivers grab what's open.
Scheduling in FAST flows in three moves:
- Plan runs — build reusable run templates (the legs, days, and default driver/tractor).
- Publish — turn those templates into this week's actual trips, manually or automatically.
- Fill gaps — post any uncovered run to the load board so drivers can grab it.
Drivers see their assignments — and any open runs they can claim — right in the driver app. Time-off requests flow into the same schedule so you can see conflicts before you publish.
Spot Board
If your drivers also make short trailer moves (spots) for FedEx pickup customers, the Spot Board runs them on its own tab next to the linehaul schedule. Customer contracts put each day's spots on the board, the office drags them onto drivers in run order and sees an estimated length for each driver's day, and a spot starts only once it has a driver and a recorded pre-trip. Every change goes into an audit log, and past spots can be looked up by trailer number. It gives the office one place to plan each driver's spots, catch a day that runs past 14 hours, and trace any spot later.
The board keeps its own records: it never changes the linehaul schedule, trips or payroll.
