Install FAST on your home screen
One tap to open — no app store, no download. Works on iPhone, iPad, Android, Windows, and Mac.
FAST installs straight from your browser. In about fifteen seconds you get a FAST icon on your home screen that opens the app full screen — no address bar, no hunting for a bookmark, and no waiting for an app-store update. It is the same FAST you already use, just faster to get into.
Pick your device below.
Start here on every device: open your browser and go to pro.fx-fast.com (forwardarrowsolutions.com takes you to the same place). Sign in as usual — drivers use their driver ID at their company, for example 704576@YourCompany. Then follow the steps for your device.
iPhone & iPad
On Apple devices this only works in Safari. If you normally use Chrome or Firefox on your phone, open Safari just for these four steps — afterwards the FAST icon works on its own.
- 1
Open FAST in Safari
Go to pro.fx-fast.com and sign in.
- 2
Tap the Share button
The square with an arrow pointing up. On iPhone it sits in the bar at the bottom; on iPad it is at the top right.
- 3
Tap "Add to Home Screen"
Scroll down the list of options — it is below Add Bookmark and Add to Favorites.
- 4
Tap "Add"
Leave the name as FAST and tap Add in the top right. The icon appears on your home screen.
You will be asked to sign in once more. Apple gives home-screen apps their own private storage, separate from Safari, so the first time you open the new FAST icon it will not know you yet. Sign in that one time and it remembers you from then on.
iPhone and iPad owners: this step is required for notifications. Apple only delivers push notifications to web apps that have been added to the Home Screen. Until you install FAST this way, trip reminders, new run alerts, and pay notifications cannot reach your phone. (Notifications need iOS 16.4 or newer.)
Android
Use Chrome. Chrome often offers to install FAST on its own with a small banner — if you see it, just tap Install. Otherwise use the menu.
- 1
Open FAST in Chrome
Go to pro.fx-fast.com and sign in.
- 2
Tap the three-dot menu
Top right of the Chrome window.
- 3
Tap "Add to Home screen"
Some versions of Chrome call it Install app — either one is correct.
- 4
Tap "Install"
FAST is added to your home screen and to your app drawer, alongside your other apps.
Using Samsung Internet instead of Chrome? Tap the menu (three lines), choose Add page to, then Home screen. On Android you normally stay signed in after installing, because the app shares your browser's login.
Windows & Mac
FAST installs on computers too, which is worth doing if you live in payroll or dispatch all day. It opens in its own window — no tabs to lose it behind — and pins to your taskbar or Dock.
- 1
Chrome or Edge
Open pro.fx-fast.com, then click the install icon at the right-hand end of the address bar (a small screen with a down arrow) and click Install. No icon showing? Use the browser menu — Cast, save and share → Install page as app in Chrome, or Apps → Install this site as an app in Edge.
- 2
Safari on Mac
Open pro.fx-fast.com, then choose File → Add to Dock (Safari 17 and newer).
- 3
Pin it
Right-click the FAST icon in your taskbar or Dock and choose Pin / Keep in Dock so it is always in the same spot.
What changes after you install
What you get
- One tap to open — an icon on your home screen instead of a bookmark.
- Full screen — no address bar eating the top of your phone.
- Stays signed in — you land on your dashboard, not the login page.
- Notifications — required on iPhone and iPad, and more reliable everywhere.
- Always current — FAST updates itself; there is nothing to download.
What does not change
- It is the same FAST and the same login — not a separate account.
- Your data lives in FAST, not on the phone, so nothing is lost if you remove the icon.
- You can still open FAST in a normal browser tab any time.
- You can install it on as many devices as you like — phone, tablet, and computer.
No — and you don't need one. FAST installs directly from your browser, which is why there is nothing to download and no update to approve. You are always on the current version.
Three things to check: you must be in Safari (Chrome and Firefox on iPhone cannot do it), you must not be in a Private tab, and the option sits partway down the share list — keep scrolling past Add Bookmark and Add to Favorites.
That is normal on iPhone and iPad. The home-screen app has its own private storage, separate from Safari, so it starts out signed out. Sign in once inside the new icon and it stays signed in.
No. FAST works in any modern browser without installing. Installing just makes it quicker to open — and on iPhone and iPad it is the only way to receive push notifications.
Touch and hold the icon and choose Remove App (iPhone/iPad) or Uninstall (Android). On a computer, open the FAST window, click its menu and choose Uninstall. Removing the icon does not touch your FAST account or any of your data — you can add it back at any time.
Close it completely and reopen it — FAST picks up the newest version on the next launch. If it still looks wrong, open FAST in a normal browser tab once, then reopen the icon.
Installed it? Turn on the alerts you actually want next — open Profile → Notification Preferences. See What communications to expect from FAST →
